I found it necessary to add some information regarding my new work. Well in first glance it may appear as though there is no connecting line between the old and the new, and technically saying there is not. But the line of thought is a continuation of my work. For a long time I wanted to make a connection between my martial arts background and painting. I found it in Chinese painting and calligraphy but for years I didn't know how to apply it without it looking ridiculous. I found the answer in a dream I had several months ago. In my dream I saw the painting of the sleeping soldier which was the first painting I did, the clearness of the black line the pureness and quality of the line, this is more important in Chinese drawing, for me it is the line and color. I believe the line to be the call of reason, or the more logical part of our brain while color is purely emotional. And that is what I am trying to achieve in my new work. A clarity of thought and emotion while keeping an air of mystery and a feeling of something isnt right here a dissonance between the image and the feeling you get from the image. For example the image of the soldier sleeping but using alarming colors such as red and yellow which are the colors of danger in nature. Another thing which has changed is the format of the work (1.80 m and bigger) so as to have a stronger effect on the viewer. This is an ongoing work which I just started and am still perfecting.
Hope you enjoy it.

I currently work at my studio which is located in Tel-Aviv, working on my next exhibit. I also teach and practice martial arts (mainly Chinese martial arts). Martial arts are one of my major passions in life, for me it is a way of life and another way for me to express myself. I seriously believe that martial arts can be utilized as an art form. I feel that for me both painting and martial arts are one and the same, a way to bring forth my thoughts and ideas that have developed through the years of practice and fighting. It is a work in progress (hopefully it will remain so)
